Religion is man's attempt to reach up and become acceptable to God through his own goodness- by living a good life, obeying the Ten Commandments, and following the Golden Rule. Some religions even teach that this cannot be accomplished in one lifetime, so we have to live many lives until we are finally good enough to make it into heaven.

The problem with Religion's answer is that the Bible says if we are ever to become acceptable to God, we must be absolutely PERFECT! The Bible declares, "Be perfect, therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Matthew 5:48).
