Our Pastor - Natron A. Curtis

Prolific speaker, community and business visionary, C.E.O., maestro, beloved father, mentor, loyal friend are just a few of the descriptions and sentiments associated with the ever emerging name of Pastor Natron A. Curtis.

Pastor Natron Antone Curtis was born in Gainesville, Florida on May 21, 1975 to Nathan Curtis and Rosa Lee Cromwell.  The sole offspring of their union, Natron Curtis was cared for and raised by his paternal grandparents Bishop Nathaniel and Ruthie M. Curtis.  From early on, it was evident that the Hands of the Lord were on Pastor Curtis’ life.  At the tender age of nineteen, by Divine appointment, he would follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfathers before acknowledging and submitting to his call into the ministry of the Gospel.

An expeditious learner, Pastor Curtis graduated from Santa Fe High School and went on to pursue a career in the financial industry receiving various certifications from the American Institute of Banking.  At the age of twenty-four, Pastor Curtis accepted his first pastorate at Crusaders for Christ Church, Inc. in Alachua, Florida where he led for over nine years developing organizational and strategic systems and bridging the gap between Ministry and Municipality, founding initiatives such as “Operation R.E.A.C.H.” and the prestigious annual “Open Hands Awards” benefit service honoring local community, civic and corporate partners and leaders.

Although Pastor Curtis was raised under strict Pentecostal tenets, he transcended the denominational limitations of his tradition to widen his spiritual parameters to reach people of varied beliefs, backgrounds, customs and cultures.  In July of 2005, while still the pastor of C.F.C.C. (which he remained for three more years), Pastor Natron Curtis was chosen to serve as Pastor and Shepherd of Mt. Zura Full Gospel Baptist Church in Newberry, Florida.

Under the pioneering, inspirational leadership of Pastor Curtis the Church, now affectionately known as “Mt. Z”, has made great strides in growth, impact and innovation.  Since becoming pastor, he has instituted high impact worship experiences by introducing various multimedia elements, renovated and modernized the preexisting sanctuary and fellowship hall, nurtured numerous community outreach programs, and implemented or enhanced over 17 active-in-house ministries.

Pastor Curtis' ministry uniquely stimulates the intellect of people on all levels of life.   His contemporary, scriptural approach and intense oratorical style penetrates the hardest of hearts, captivates the attention of the crowd and convinces the confused that God is able to save anybody.

Pastor Curtis articulates a strong statement that offers the only real choice to the problems of the day - salvation through Jesus Christ. His God given anointing to preach and teach has over the years strengthened and encouraged the faith of thousands throughout the nation.

Pastor Curtis’s diverse appeal and commitment to the community is evident by his participation and

activity on various commissions and boards both secular and sacred.   In 2008, Pastor Curtis founded W.O.L. Community Initiatives, Inc. a non-profit community service organization focusing on enhancing the quality of life by providing comprehensive and holistic programs, services and events.  In 2011, Pastor Curtis is planning to launch the C.A.N. Foundation & Network which will provide counseling services, problem solving, life skills training and coaching; as well as, promote academic and economic opportunities through scholarships, and philanthropy.

In addition to being a dynamic preacher, most skillful teacher and

community visionary, Pastor Curtis is an accomplished musician and choral director.  His musical acumen has allowed him to become proficient in several instruments and also has afforded him to tour and travel nationally.

Pastor Curtis resides in Gainesville, Florida and is married to Lady Kenyata Curtis and is the proud father of four children: Natron II, Cameron, Neziah and Camille.
