The "Mt. Z" Strategy

Making Disciples

(Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 9:36-38)

We recognize the essential priority of keeping the first thing first; and as a result of such and in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ we are committed to the development and deployment of disciples for the Kingdom of God.

ZAMAR /zaw•mar/

(Psalms 9:11; Psalms 47:6, 7; Psalms 108:1-3)

• The word Zamar means to sing, sing praise, make music; to play a musical instrument (pluck the strings); hence, to celebrate in song and music. We understand that we were created to worship and commanded to praise the Lord by any means necessary and by all means accessible (Psalm 150).

Unity of The Body

(1 Corinthians 12:12, 13)

• We recognize that one the most essential elements to the effectiveness and growth of a ministry is its unity. So as apart of our membership covenant we agree to protect the unity of our body by: o Acting in love toward other members (Romans 14:19) o Refusing to gossip (Eph. 4:29) o Following the leaders (Heb. 13:17)

Recognize and Appreciate Diversity

(Romans 12:5-9)

• We understand that while all people are created equal, we are not all alike. And this is the magnificence of our existence. One of the key ingredients in our efforts is found in the principle of synergy, where the sum total of all individual parts equals more than the individual parts alone. So while we may come from different backgrounds, cultures and experiences, we are one in the Lord and everyone has something to contribute to the Kingdom of God.

Atmosphere Of Acceptance Without Approval

(Mark 2:15-17)

• As believers and recipients of the grace and mercy of our Lord, we recognize that as Christians are called to accept and love all people, believers and unbelievers alike without approving of sinful lifestyles. So in order to be greater witnesses of the grace of God extended to us and to love unconditionally, we understand the difference between acceptance and approval.
